Why should I choose your office for dental care?
We offer general dentistry and cosmetic dentistry in a warm, friendly environment, and we can care for your entire family. When you visit Dr. Smith or Dr. Jackson, we'll take time to get to know you and develop a treatment plan to maintain your oral health and bring out your best smile. We've invested in a range of technologies to diagnose you accurately and comfortably. We have television on LCD screens in each operatory to help you relax during your visit.
Where are you located?
We're at 2612 West Broadway in Council Bluffs, across the street from Thomas Jefferson High School. We're easily accessible to patients from throughout Council Bluffs and Omaha. You'll always find plenty of free parking in our large parking lot.
How do I know when it's time for a checkup?
Many people wait until they have a problem before calling a dentist, but regular checkups will keep your mouth and teeth healthy so that you can avoid more major and expensive procedures later. Most people benefit from twice-a-year visits for preventive care. We'll recommend an appropriate checkup schedule based on your oral health.
Going to the dentist makes me nervous. How can you help?
Many people feel anxious about visiting the dentist, so you're not alone. We understand your concerns and will do our best to address them. Our friendly staff is gentle and compassionate, and modern technology makes many treatments more comfortable than in the past. We have cable television in each operatory to help you relax during your visit.
I'd like straighter teeth, but I don't want to wear braces. What do you recommend?
If you'd like to straighten your teeth invisibly and without the discomfort of metal braces, Invisalign may be the choice for you. Invisalign uses a series of clear, removable aligners that move your teeth gradually to create a straight, healthy smile.
What is periodontal disease and how can I prevent it?
Periodontal disease is a bacterial infection of the gums and bones that support the teeth. Left untreated, it can lead to tooth loss. Early detection is important, so when you visit, we'll check for signs of gum disease and head off problems before they escalate. Between visits, keep your mouth healthy by brushing and flossing regularly.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, checks, and credit cards. We can also help you arrange financing through the CareCredit payment program. CareCredit provides low monthly payments for dental treatment with no upfront costs, annual fees, or prepayment penalties.
Do you accept my insurance plan?
We are a provider for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska, United Concordia, Delta Dental, and Wellmark Health Plan of Iowa. We do not accept Medicaid. For other types of insurance, we will file claims for reimbursement on your behalf and will do everything we can to help you receive the maximum allowable benefits under your plan.
What should I do if I have a dental emergency?
For dental emergencies during regular business hours, please call us immediately so that our office staff can help you determine the appropriate action. If you are a patient of record and need emergency dental care when our office is not open, please call our Council Bluffs dental office for information on how to reach us after hours.
